What we collect

From coaches: your email address (your account), your name as you enter it, your athlete roster (athlete names and the parent email addresses you provide), your session settings, and a basic access log (sign-ins and their IP addresses). From sessions: the video you upload, the audio transcript produced from it, and the recap outputs (clips, summaries, email drafts).

Text messages (SMS)

SecondLook is operated by Second Look Labs LLC. If you check the box to receive text messages, or request a sign-in code by text, we send only transactional messages: a one-time sign-in code you asked for, a notice that a recap is ready to review, or a notice that a parent watched a recap. A parent or guardian whose mobile number a coach adds to the roster first receives one confirmation text and must reply YES before any recap link is texted to them; after that, they receive a link to their child's recap after a lesson, sent by the coach through SecondLook. Message frequency varies; typically one message per lesson. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP at any time to opt out and HELP for help. We do not sell or share your SMS opt-in data or personal information with third parties for marketing purposes.

Children's information

Session footage typically shows minors. SecondLook processes that footage on the coach's behalf, and coaches are required to obtain parental or guardian consent before recording and before sharing recaps (see the Terms). We collect no information from children directly, we build no profiles of athletes beyond the roster the coach enters, and we do not use facial recognition.

How footage is handled

The full lesson video — whether uploaded or recorded in the app — is used to produce your recap, kept privately for 30 days so the coach can download it, and then deleted automatically. Recording in the app sends the video straight to our storage as it is filmed; nothing is saved to the phone’s camera roll. Finished recaps and clips are stored privately and deleted after a retention period (currently 90 days). Recaps are shared only with the recipients the coach chooses.

Service providers

We use a small set of processors to run the Service: cloud hosting (Railway), video storage (Cloudflare R2), speech-to-text (Deepgram), AI drafting (Anthropic), email delivery (Resend), and usage analytics (Microsoft Clarity, which records how the app's screens are used so we can improve them; anything you type is masked before it is sent, and your camera footage is never part of it). Each receives only what it needs to do its job. We do not sell personal information to anyone, and we do not use your content for advertising or to train AI models.

Security

Access to the Service requires sign-in; sessions and recaps are private to the coach who created them. Data is transmitted over HTTPS. No system is perfectly secure; if we learn of a breach affecting your data we will notify you promptly.

Your choices

Coaches can delete any session (which removes its video, clips, and outputs) at any time from the app, and can edit or remove any athlete from their roster. Recap emails are sent only when the coach chooses to send them. The weekly summary email includes an unsubscribe link.

Deleting your data

Coaches: to delete your account and everything in it — your sessions, recaps, roster, and profile — email team@secondlook.coach from the address on the account with the subject “Delete my SecondLook account.” We will confirm and complete the deletion within 7 days. Copies in routine backups are overwritten within 30 days after that.

Parents and guardians: if a recap shows your child and you want it removed, you can ask the coach, who can delete it from the app immediately. You can also email us directly at team@secondlook.coach with the coach’s name and your child’s first name. We will remove the recap, its clips, and any watch links within 7 days and confirm by email. We will not ask you for more information than we need to find the video.

Deleting a recap also disables any link that was sent for it and removes the full lesson video if it is still within its 30-day window. After that window the original video no longer exists, so there is nothing to recover once a recap is removed.

California residents may also request a copy of the personal information we hold about them, or ask what we have collected, using the same address. We do not sell or share personal information, so there is nothing to opt out of.

Changes

We will post any changes to this policy here with a new effective date.
